BruinMUN 33

Hello Esteemed Delegates and Advisors,

My name is Sophie Kogan and it is my honor to serve as Secretary General for the 33nd iteration of BruinMUN along with our wonderful Secretariat. It is also my pleasure to welcome you onto UCLA’s campus for BruinMUN 33, this year on November 8-9, 2025. In this conference, you will debate with like-minded students across 26 different and equally fascinating committees on topics spread out all over the world and throughout history. These twenty-six committees include fifteen general assembly and ECOSOC committees, 5 specialized committees, and 6 crisis committees. Of these aforementioned committees, 10 of them, including a novice specialized and two crises will be novice committees to cater to younger and newer delegates, bringing more people into the wonderful world of Model UN.

Upon being presented with their topics, delegates will research enlightening solutions, many of which pertaining to issues that impact our world in the present. In committee, using their skills of collaboration and debate, delegates will work with others to place these solutions on paper, and hopefully create long-lasting platforms for the future, and long-term passions in Model UN itself. Just as thousands of delegates in previous iterations of BruinMUN have developed a love for understanding world issues from this conference (including many members of this very Secretariat!), I hope that your experience at this year's BruinMUN is equally as enriching. For many, this conference is a gateway into future interest, global affairs or otherwise, and we hope we can provide this all in an experience that is both interesting and fun.
