Staff Application
Thank you for your interest in staffing BruinMUN 32! Please note that BruinMUN staffing is only open to current UCLA undergraduate students.
This is the form to apply for a general staff position for BruinMUN 32. The conference will be held on the weekend of November 9-10 and staff will be required to be there for the entire duration of the conference. No previous MUN experience is required to staff.
Below you will find additional information about the three different available roles for staffing at BruinMUN 32. Regardless of your role, we will ensure that you receive ample training to prepare you for the conference weekend. If you have any further questions, feel free to email Secretary-General Kamran Sheriff at sg@bruinmun.org
General Committee Dais Staff
These staff members will work directly alongside the committee chair to assist in the general operations of the committee. This includes, but is not limited to, tracking and scoring speeches given by delegates, managing and organizing submitted working papers from delegates, managing the speaking timer, answering general logistical questions from delegates, and ensuring delegates are called upon equally. These staff members may have the option of chairing a portion of the committee and will be guided by an experienced senior staff member.
Crisis Staff
These staff members will work with their respective Crisis Director (CD) to implement the overall committee crisis arc (or story) for their crisis committee. This will involve developing and acting out crisis updates that are designed to provide added dynacism to the committee. In addition to preparing and leading crisis updates, crisis staffers will be responsible for responding to crisis notes submitted by delegates and tracking individual crisis arcs. Other duties may be assigned, as directed by their CD.
Logistics Staff
These staff members will work directly with the Director-General (DG) and their Logistics Senior Staff to carry out more essential components of the conference. This includes (but is not limited to), assisting with registration (providing campus directions, answering general questions, directing waiting lines), organizing and distributing conference merchandise, organizing conference materials (placards, credentials, programs, food, etc), and taking photos/videos. The DG will work with delegate services staffers to ensure that all behind-the-scenes needs are addressed quickly and exceptionally. It is preferred if Logistics staffers have a valid drivers license; however, this is not a requirement.
