My name is Ravid Reif and I am the Secretary-General for LAMUN XIII. On behalf of the Los Angeles Model United Nations Secretariat and Model UN at UCLA, I would like to invite you to the thirteenth session of LAMUN. LAMUN XIII will take place April 19-22, 2018 at the Universal Studios Hilton in Universal City, Hollywood and will feature 8 crisis committees, 2 specialized bodies and 2 general assemblies.

Since its conception, LAMUN has operated on the principle of providing a dynamic, immersive experience to its delegates – a tradition which LAMUN XIII will carry forward with its unique mix of committees. The LAMUN experience, however, goes beyond our committees: our location in the heart of the entertainment capital of the world promises several exciting social opportunities. From tours of Universal Studios and other entertainment landmarks to a relaxing post-conference afternoon at one of LA’s several beautiful beaches, we are confident that LAMUN XIII will be a memorable weekend.

Our conference rates are $95 per school and $85 per delegate. We understand the importance of providing a financially accessible conference, however, and would like to draw your attention to a discount we will continue to offer this year:

  • Delegations with 16-23 delegates will receive a 50% rebate on the delegate fees of 2 additional delegates

  • Delegations with 24 or more delegates will receive a 100% rebate on the delegate fees of 2 additional delegates

Priority registration for our conference will begin December 1, 2017, and will run through February 1st.  During this time, delegate fees will be $75. You may register online at www.bruinmun.org.

This year, we will be partnering once again with the Universal Studios Hilton in Universal City. We are pleased to offer an exclusive discount rate of  $209.00 USD/night for 2 double beds or 1 king bed, excluding taxes. The last day for reservations to be made with the group rate is Thursday March 29, 2018.
