BruinMUN 2008
Hosted by Model United Nations at UCLA
November 8-9, 2008 | Los Angeles, CA

April 25, 2008

Dear delegates and advisors,

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the sixteenth annual Model United Nations conference at UCLA. In years past, we have offered a wide range of committees and topics while providing a professional atmosphere. Sixteen years up and running, the Model United Nations program at UCLA has matured into one of the most prestigious and largest college programs in the United States. Our crisis team and conference services plan to continue our standard of excellence and promote diplomatic relations, research, and competition.

This year we will build upon tradition while implementing reforms to better maximize our time and resources. First and foremost, the conference will last two days, Saturday November 8th and Sunday November 9th. We hope a two-day conference will enhance productivity and minimize logistical concerns. Second, we plan to offer specialized committees, including a 1792-1793: Introduction to Robespierre committee.

Our high school conference fosters a creative and challenging environment where students can not only observe a large-scale conference but also be exposed to one of the premiere universities in the United States. MUN at UCLA is determined to promote cooperation and respect to ensure a productive and rewarding experience.

Sincerely,

Parsa Sobhani
Secretary-General, BruinMUN 2008
