Security Council
Roopak Bhatt, Chair
SecurityCouncil@bruinmun.org

Hello delegates and welcome to BruinMUN 2011! My name is Roopak Bhatt and I will be the chair for Security Council. I am a senior at UCLA studying Biology and this will be my eighth year being involved with MUN and I have enjoyed every minute of it.

The Security Council addresses some of the world’s greatest challenges in hopes of resolving these issues and as delegates of this committee it is up to you to come prepared and ready to come up with comprehensive solutions to these real problems of the world. Understanding that the agenda is open and to be determined by the committee’s preference does not mean that any one topic is given precedence over another as all the issues that we may address in committee are extremely important in their own right. For this reason, I greatly encourage you, the delegates, to research above and beyond the possible agenda items and be prepared for anything that may come your way. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email me at roopak.bhatt@hotmail.com. See you in November!

Sincerely,

Roopak Bhatt
Security Council, Chair
